How Remote Immobilisation Actually Works
When the Nitro Pro is paired with a tracker — TrackManager or StarLine — sending a remote immobilisation command doesn't cut the engine instantly. Here's exactly what happens, step by step.
- Command sent. You (or your tracker's control room) send the immobilisation command from the app.
- Signal reaches the Nitro Pro. The command is relayed to the immobiliser fitted in the vehicle.
- The vehicle must come to a complete stop for 2+ seconds. This is a deliberate safety measure — the Nitro Pro won't act while the vehicle is still moving.
- Immobilisation implements — exactly how depends on your vehicle's type, shown in the table below.
- To release it, you revoke the signal from your tracker — the Nitro Pro won't respond to a paired phone, tag, or PIN code until then.

Why the 2-second stop delay? It's there so the vehicle is never immobilised mid-motion — a genuine safety consideration, not a limitation.
