TASSA Verified

What TASSA Approval Actually Means for Your Vehicle

TASSA — the Tracking and Aftermarket Security System Association — independently verifies vehicle security products, installers, and installation companies against industry-leading standards. When you see "TASSA Verified" on one of our systems, it means it's been checked, not just marketed.

Who They Are

What Is TASSA?

TASSA was formed to drive forward standards and best practice across the vehicle security industry — supporting innovation, protecting the public, and tackling vehicle crime head on. Rather than simply taking a manufacturer's word for it, TASSA completes extensive independent verification checks across manufacturers, products, and installers, and maintains a public database so anyone can check a product or installer's status for themselves.

Sets industry standards

Standards designed to support innovation while genuinely protecting customers.

Independently verifies

Extensive checks over manufacturers, products, and the installers who fit them.

Public, checkable database

You're never just taking an installer's word for it — you can verify independently.

Why It Matters

Why We Only Fit TASSA-Verified Systems

Vehicle security is only as good as the product behind it — and the installer fitting it. TASSA verification gives you a second, independent check on both: the product has been tested against real standards, and installers on the register have been checked, not just self-declared. It's the same logic behind why choosing the right installer matters as much as choosing the right brand — TASSA simply makes that trust checkable rather than something you have to take on faith.

Not Just Fitted — Involved

We Were There When the Nitro Pro Earned Its Verification

Our relationship with TASSA goes beyond simply fitting a verified product. We worked directly with TrackManager during the process of getting the Nitro Pro TASSA verified — TrackManager arranged the logistics, and we attended TASSA's own headquarters in person to carry out the installation ourselves, live, on a brand new Toyota Yaris.

The install included a full TrackManager tracker alongside the Nitro Pro, plus the additional horn control feature — the same setup we recommend to our own customers. James at TASSA reviewed the installation and configuration on the day and was impressed with both.

It's one thing to fit a product that's already been verified. It's another to have been in the room when it earned that verification in the first place.

Toyota & Lexus Owners

Why This Matters Even More for Toyota & Lexus

If you drive a Toyota or Lexus, TASSA verification isn't just reassuring — it's directly relevant to your insurance. Toyota Insurance Services specifically names TASSA-verified products, including the Autowatch Ghost and Nitro Pro, as approved fitments, and Toyota and Lexus insurers commonly request a TASSA-verified device to be installed given how frequently these vehicles are targeted for theft.

Both the Ghost and Nitro Pro — the two immobilisers we specifically recommend for Toyota and Lexus vehicles — are on TASSA's own verified list for Toyota Insurance Services approval.
